How to Use:

Note: This bright gold luster is nontoxic after firing. Work in a well-ventilated area when applying to your piece.

  1. Do not stir or shake.
  2.  Be sure that the surface of your piece is free of dust, skin oils and lotions to ensure proper adhesion. Wipe surfaces with rubbing alcohol prior to application.
  3. Place a small amount of Gold into the Kemper Fluid Writer Pen  OR  Place a small amount of Gold on a glazed palette; apply one smooth coat with a brush designated for use with each respective product.  ( This will depend on the application choice you choose. )
  4. Try to attain an even application.
  5. Bright Gold tint should be maroon/brown/orange hue when applied, ( matures to bright gold after kiln firing ).
  6. Do not let metallic pool in an area; brush out smoothly.
  7. Allow to dry. Drying takes about one hour or you can advance that by using a hair dryer.
  8. Stilt and fire Metallic’s for pottery or ceramics to cone 019-018. For glass fusing fire to 1283 degrees F at a minimum to have Bright Gold Luster mature.  I usually go to 1350 to 1450 degrees F and it looks great.
  9. Using the stem cleaner, push excess from the Fluid Writer Pen back into the Bright Gold jar then clean the Kemper Fluid Writer Pen using the cleaning tool and rinse with a little bit of Essence. If brushing then wipe the excess from the brush into the Bright Gold jar and clean brush in Essence and let dry.
